Caribbean Airlines was incorporated by the government of Trinidad and Tobago following the dismissal of British West Indies Airways in 2006. While the previous national airline had operated widebody aircraft to long haul destinations including London and Manchester, Caribbean Airlines fleet was built on narrowbody aircraft only, the Boeing 737-800 for medium-haul connections and the ATR 72 for short-haul regional and domestic services. Today, its network spans the Caribbean, Central America, South America and North America (New York, Miami and Orlando in the US plus Toronto in Canada). The Caribbean Explorer ticket allows passengers to visit 3 Caribbean islands within 21 days for a fare starting at 599USD.
