Created as the low-cost arm of Emirates to serve low-yeld, lower demand markets in Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine and the Indian Sub-Continent, Flydubai was capable to grow its airport and onboard product as demand changed through the years: Business Class was introduced on selected Boeing 737-800 in 2012, followed by a lounge at the airline’s main base, Dubai Terminal 2, in 204. In 2017, with the entry into service of the first Boeing 737 MAX 8, the carrier unveiled a new Busines product suited for its longer-haul services, consisting in a 10-seat cabin fitted with lie-flat seats.
