Founded in 2000 as a fully low-cost carrier, GOL Linhas Aereas has been able to evolve its customer products in order to stay on pace with the diversification of demand and evolution of its network, which now covers a large number of South American Countries and spans as far as Orlando and Fort Lauderdale in the US. On domestic flight, the front section of all the Brazilian carrier Boeing 737s has been designated GOL+Comforto, with legroom increased by 4 inches and perks including priority check-in and boarding including in the passenger’ ticket. On international flights a Premium Economy product includes priority check-in and boarding, access to the lounge, increased baggage allowance, enhanced dining experience and more privacy thanks to the middle seat left unoccupied. Between January and December 2019 GOL had 37.7% of the domestic and 3.8% of the international market shares, making it the largest domestic and third largest international airline in Brazil (Photo Wikimedia Commons / rafael Luiz Canossa)
