During the last few years, Spirit Airlines has been one of the fastest growing operators in the US, where it is today the 8th largest commercial airline. After its conversion to the Ultra-Low-Cost carrier (ULCC) model in 2007, recently it adopted a more customer-friendly approach, including a front section of the cabin on all its fleet featuring Big Front seats with increased legroom and width, in a 2+2 cross section similar to the First class of US legacy airlines. Though, Spirit remains one of the very few airlines worldwide which makes its passengers pay for carry-on luggage.
