Wizz Air is one of Ryanair’s main competitors behind easyJet in the low-cost market. Mainly serving the Eastern European market, the carrier has made some progress in other areas of the continent opening a series of new bases in Norway, Italy and the UK during the Covid pandemic to the point to gain a British Air Operator’s Certificate to place more pressure on easyJet on the British market.
