October 22, 2020 / Despite the Covid pandemic back in full swing throughout Europe, Emirates (EK) announced today a return to full inflight dining from November 1. The “redesigned onboard experience”, as the Dubai-based carrier defined it, is the demonstration of a continuous effort to adjust inflight service in the light of Covid-19. After the return to service back in May 2020, Emirates progressively reopened First-Class spa showers on its Airbus A380 with individual amenity bags including products by Irish brand Voya and a disposable bath towel. Onboard lounges on the A380 and Boeing 777 have also reopened, the superjumbo lounge as a take-away bar with limited seating and the social areas in First Class on the B777 that now offer pre-packed snacks.
Now, from the beginning of November, Emirates will resume its signature dining experience with multi-courses meals in all classes and a choice of two wines in economy, six (including Champagne) in Business, 11 (including a dessert wine, port and Dom Perignon Champagne) in First Class. Customers can view the menus on the Emirates app. A Vitality Boost welcome drink will be offered in Business and First Class. Complimentary travel hygiene kits for all passengers will be available as always. (Photo Emirates)
