Switzerland has a brand new airline: FlyBair takes-off from Bern and Sion

News

June 16, 2020 / After the demise of Skywork, based at Bern Belp Airport, Switzerland’s city capital had remained without regular flights for over a year. Now, an entirely new operator is launching flights from Belp (and Sion) during the summer season. Founded on October 29, 2019, FlyBAIR starts with a single Embraer-190 in white and red colours serving a bunch of destinations in the Mediterranean: Maiorca from July 18, Crete and Rhodes from mid-August, Jerez, Kos, Menorca and Preveza from September. Initial plans to serve Olbia, on the Italian island of Sardinia, have been withdrawn. The airline is 15.2% owned by Bern Belp airport. (Photo FlyBair)
