April 16, 2021 / Eager to try JetBlue’s (B6) new Mint Class? Well, its debut on long-haul, transatlantic flights is planned for next summer, with August 2 as the most probable date for the beginning of New York (JFK) to London (LHR) flights.
If you can’t wait, here is your occasion: the Big Apple-based airline announced the schedule of the single Airbus A321neo featuring the new Mint: from June 1 through June 9, the aircraft will run between JFK and Los Angeles (LAX) on a daily basis departing JFK at 10.30 to arrive in LAX at 13.51 (flight B6 23) and then fly back at 15.01 to land in JFK at 23.24 (flight B6 124).
From June 10 through September 7, schedule will change slightly as follows: flight B6 2123 will depart JFK at 9.00 to land in LAX at 11.59, while flight B6 1524 will leave LAX at 13.20 to arrive in JFK at 22.00.
Onboard the aircraft there are 14 Mints suites arranged in a 1+1 cross-section for a total of seven rows. Each suite features a door for more privacy and a 17 inches (43cm)-wide seatback IFE screen, a phone ledge, dedicated stowage spaces for laptops, shoes, and handbags. The Thompson Aero Seating Vantage SOLO seat has full lie-flat capability.
The two front suites (one on each side of the cabin) are arranged as private Studios, offering an extra-large 22-inch (56cm)-wide seatback screen, an extra side table, and even a guest seat for a friend to join when flying at cruising altitude. The bed is also larger than those in the Mint suites.
In Economy on its new A321neo, JetBlue features 144 seats in a 3-3 configuration that are 18.4 inches (47cm)-wide – the widest available for the A321neo. There are seven rows of extra-legroom economy at the front of the economy cabin. All economy seats feature a 10.1-inch (25.5cm)-wide high-definition seatback screen to access on-demand entertainment, including live television, and feature access to power, including AC and USB ports.
